I have a real keen eye for decorating and pulling it all together in each room(s), and it shows in the final results! My passion is helping my clients select their style / look /feel and vision of the room(s), they want to make over, with a new interior decorating look.

I recommend that you consider which room(s) and feature(s) you are ready to change. It is best to think realistically about your lifestyle, and evaluate the priority level of the rooms you want to change for functionality and fashion. I get it right the first time, and that in itself saves you money!

                        Warmest Regards,                                          Victoria Kollert

Hi Victoria, I want to thank you again for the nice job you did re-grouping so many pieces of furniture.  Everything in the Living Room area was changed and a couple of pieces in our master BR and DR/kitchen area. I really appreciated how you jumped in immediately with a can do attitude.  We got so much done in just an hour. We are very happy with the changes and think you solved a problem with furniture placement that I’ve been unhappy with for years. Definitely a 5 star rating ACROSS THE BOARD.  I will certainly recommend your skills to friends.  Hope to see you again. Sincerely, Val K. / SCW

We’re snowbirds working with Victoria to make selections for our soon-to-be-completed home in Goodyear. So far we’ve worked with Victoria remotely from our summer home, either by phone or email with lots of pictures. Soon we’ll spend a couple of days with Victoria in Arizona to make selections for window treatments and furniture. Victoria has taken the time to find out what we want our home to look like, what furniture and accessories we already have and what we need to buy. She knows where to shop and has suggested great options, both online and brick and mortar stores. She’s helped us create to-do lists and keeps us on track with a series of phone calls and emails. Victoria helped us overcome our feeling of being overwhelmed with choices by helping us make selections in a logical order and by using checklists. She’s also very good with colors so we don’t feel like we’ll be repainting or regretting any selections because we picked the wrong shade. In the end, we are confident our home will look great. Most importantly, our home will look like ‘our home’. Victoria hasn’t forced her style on us the way some interior designers can – she’s been great at helping us execute our own style. Victoria is a ball of energy and working with her is really fun. She’s also very fair in how she charges for her time. We would recommend Victoria to anyone, and for people who need to work on their home remotely as we did, Victoria is a perfect fit.

Victoria responded on the same day that I sent request through Thumbtack! She came out to my house and gave it the sorely needed “make over”! I cannot say enough about how quickly she responded to our emergency need of staging our house. She was able to use the my own furnishings so I did not have to go out and buy a bunch of stuff. She made our home look inviting and welcoming! Victoria saw our house and the potential by restaging a few rooms. We are excited to get new pictures taken and ultimately get this house sold!! I would whole heartedly recommend Victoria to anyone in need for an excellent stager and interior designer. She surpassed my expectations!!

Having recently moved to Arizona and going into a completely different type of home than I’d been used to, I was at a complete loss as to how to put my new home together. Vicki Kollert was a godsend. She took charge and with my approval, began arranging my belongings. Frankly, I didn’t know my things could look so good and she did it all so amazingly fast. This woman has a real “gift” for design, balance, color and whatever it all takes to be an exceptional interior decorator. A real bonus is the fact I needed to purchase very little in order to pull it all together. I recommend her to people, all the time, and people thank me.

Victoria is a decorating problem solver extraordinaire and my husband and I found her very considerate of our individual tastes and desires. Within a short time she’s created a complete plan that we’re very happy with.

We moved to Arizona in 2018 and bought a house that needed some updating. After anxious hours shopping for furniture, I reached out to Victoria for help… and I am so glad I did.  On her first visit, she recommend flipping the furniture and rugs in the family room and kitchen with those in the living room and dining room.  That didn’t cost  a thing  but quickly improved the look and  functionality of  these rooms.  Over the next six months we sold or donated  unneeded  furniture and bought a few new things. Then we tackled the kitchen!  Our first big decisions concerned the scope of the project.  Should we open up the wall, buy new cabinets, add skylights or what?  Victoria and I worked out a remodeling plan. The island was rebuilt; the countertops changed;  the cabinets professionally painted and new hanging lights and roller blinds installed. We got a lot of beauty and improvement  for the amount of money we spent!  Victoria was essential to this entire process. She had good ideas but she also listened to my reactions and  ideas.  Her advice kept the project on track and kept me from making mistakes!   I will continue consulting with Victoria and I heartily recommend her to others.

I need to leave this five star review for the world to see! I am a sales associate at American Furniture Warehouse and let me tell you! I came across Victoria as she was working with one of her clients and man this firecracker just lights up the whole store. I could not resist not wanting to work with her and her clients needs. I told myself okay I see this lady I love her spunky vibe I’m not leaving!!! Every experience I have had with her has been absolutely fun and exciting and I’m sure her clients can vouch for this because we move we pull everything together her clients are laughing smiling and having fun creating!!! I give her major kudos she definetly is top notch in what her clients interest are. She has them involved that’s what I love most and everyone leaves with smiles ear to ear!!! GO VICKI!!! YOU ROCK!!!

Interior Decorator / Designer
Interior Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things.

Interior Decorator: Career Defined
The job of an interior decorator is to select the components of an interior space that best meet the wishes of the client. When faced with the task of decorating a room, an interior decorator has an array of techniques to choose from. Some of the elements that must be considered include the furniture style and arrangement; traffic flow; bright or dull colors; blinds, curtains, and drapes; paint, wallpaper, and fabric; carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile, or other materials for the floor; and accessories such as lamps, sculptures, fans, etc.

Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, research, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

Is it interior design or interior decoration? Or both?
On Being an Interior Designer
Being an interior designer involves more personal interaction and deep psychological understanding than any field that I have ever explored. Architecture tends to involve more arrogance and less objectivism while interior design can be deeply introspective and personalized to a client’s every need. Don’t get me wrong: I love architecture. I love many architects. However, it’s hard not to be bitter when insanely intelligent and hard-working designers everywhere are being downgraded to decorator status, and much of this title-slinging comes from architects as much as it does clients and peers.
On Architects and Interior designers
Architects: don’t call yourself an architect unless you’re licensed. No for real, it’s illegal. Also, don’t shy away from working with designers. They are specialized in the psychology of space…who doesn’t want to work with that?Interior designers: don’t be elitist. You need to know when to open your arms to architects and other professionals because you can’t control every part of a project. Also, it’s your duty to educate! If someone calls you a decorator, or pays disrespect to the field of design by not recognizing its vast sea of qualities, correct them.
So How is Interior Design Different from Decoration?
Interior design is the art and science of understanding people’s behavior to create functional spaces within a building. Interior Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things. In short, interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design. Interior designers apply creative and technical solutions within a structure that are functional, attractive and beneficial to the occupants’ quality of life and culture. Designs respond to and coordinate with the building shell and acknowledge the physical location and social context of the project.
